convert the ratio `3:12` to percentage.

- `100 xx 3//12` ` = 25%`
- `100 xx 3//12` ` = 25%`
- a ratio cannot be converted to percentage

The answer is "`25%`".

Convert the percentage `50%` to ratio.

- `50% = 50:100 = 1:2`
- `50% = 50:100 = 1:2`
- it cannot be converted

The answer is "`1:2`".

Note that a percentage is given in a context, like the number of apples is `50%` of the number of oranges.

When the percentage is converted to a ratio, the ratio is specified in the same context, like the number of apples to number or oranges is in `1:2` ratio.
