Area of the rectangle is the product of its length and width.

Area of a Square and a Rectangle :
Area of square `=text( side)^2`

Area of rectangle `=text( length ) xx text( width)`

Solved Exercise Problem:

What is the area of a rectangle with sides `2`cm and `15`mm?

  • `2xx15 = 30 cm^2`
  • `2xx1.5 = 3 cm^2`
  • `2xx1.5 = 3 cm^2`
